Client

Very well-known in France, Dodynette is the brand of Élodie, creative entrepreneur and sewing enthusiast, she created the blog "Les tutos couture de Dodynette" during 2017 to share her creative ideas, the sewing tutorials she develops, her discoveries and good plans. On her website, you will find many creative offerings such as sewing patterns, sewing kits, and fabrics. Dodynette is very active on social media, and you can follow the brand on her Facebook page "Les tutos couture de Dodynette", on Instagram @api_dodynette, and on Youtube.

Needs

Élodie approached us with a specific goal in mind: to provide a better user experience for customers and revamp her online presence. The previous e-commerce website was a bit outdated and difficult to navigate especially on mobile. In addition to enhancing the user experience, our client also needed a stronger branding identity to stand out in the crowded sewing industry.

Modernova Approach

To begin, we conducted a comprehensive user experience audit of the existing website, analyzing user behavior and identifying pain points. We then conducted user tracking methods and research to gain a better understanding of our client's target audience and their specific needs and preferences. Armed with this data, we worked closely with our client to develop a new website that addressed these issues and delivered an exceptional customer experience.

To tackle the client's needs, we utilized various UX research methods, including user tracking and usability testing, to gain a deep understanding of Dodynette customers' preferences. Based on our findings, we created a new website design that was not only more visually appealing and intuitive but also responsive across all devices. We also developed a new branding identity, which included new colors, fonts, and visual elements, that was used both on and off the website. Throughout the development process, we worked closely with the client to ensure their vision was reflected in every aspect of the project.

Results

The result of our work was a new e-commerce website that not only exceeded the client's expectations but also delivered a better user experience for their customers. Thanks to our user-centered approach, Dodynette's new e-commerce website has been a resounding success. The website was highly responsive, ensuring that customers could access it from any device, anywhere, and anytime. With a stronger branding identity, the client was able to distinguish themselves in a highly competitive industry and attract new customers.
